Hemp beanies are not as comfortable as the cotton ones. You’ll notice that the cotton beanies tend to have a much softer feel. But if you’re looking for extra comfort, especially for kids or for more extended wear, many hemp beanies now come with a cotton blend. 100% hemp ones will also get softer when you wash them several times. Either way, it’s a non-toxic material that is highly breathable. And you can use it for a longer time without any worry.

Hemp is not soft like cotton but much more durable. The texture can be more scratchy because the fibers are more porous. The benefit of this is that help is cooler than cotton because it can absorb more moisture. You do not have to really worry about as much wear-and-tear of your clothing made from help because the fibers are stronger. The comfort level is more on personal preference. To me, help is in between cotton and wool on the comfort level.

Hemp beanies are not as soft to the touch as cotton beanies. However, they do have some benefits that cotton ones don’t provide. Hemp beanies are known to be far cooler than cotton beanies. Hemp is stronger, more absorbent, and a better insulator than cotton. Another thing to keep in mind is that hemp will soften over time.

As with all clothing, a lot of the comfort factor boils down to individual preference. From personal experience, wearing a hemp beanie is super comfy, particularly in warmer or cooler climates. Because the material wicks away excess moisture, it’s great for those heated situations, but because of its breathable fibers, it can also help to keep you cool as well. So, essentially, while cotton beanies are comfy, they aren’t always ideal for both hot or cool climates. Whereas hemp beanies adapt to your surroundings, and because of this, they are great material for hats, socks, and other items of clothing.

Wearing hemp beanies is more comfortable than cotton beanies because hemp fiber itself is proven to be more comfy than cotton. Hemp beanies can be worn in spring because of their lightweight, and at the same time, it also suited for cold weather because it gives a cozy feeling. Hemp beanies also have natural properties of deodorizing and cooling so it can be worn confidently in warm weather.

Hemp is more durable, but it is not as comfortable as cotton.

Hemp is naturally more durable, and therefore not as soft as 100% cotton.

Though, if you’ve never tried hemp clothing, you’d be surprised how comfortable it is.

I’d sacrifice slight comfort over sustainability ANY DAY!

It’s difficult to tell the difference between beanies made from hemp or those natural products because they go shoulder to shoulder when it comes to comfortability. Most beanies have double layers with an inside of hemp yarn and an outside bunch from eco yarn, a reused yarn utilized new colors or synthetics. The difference I can tell is that clothes made from hemp fibers are more durable than those made using cotton. Otherwise, they are no different in terms of comfort.

From my experience with hemp clothing, they are great at wicking away moisture, but since they are a bit more durable than cotton, they can be a little more uncomfortable due to this fact.

There’s not a significant difference in feeling and comfort between hemp-fiber beanies and other beanies derived from wool, cotton, or other blends. For me, though, anything more friendly to the environment is automatically +10 comfort points (:

Hemp beanies are about as comfortable as a regular beanie. Regular beanies are often made from wool or other knitted fabrics, which can be slightly itchy or rough, just like natural hemp fibers. You’d be hard pressed to notice a difference between wearing a hemp beanie versus a regular beanie.

Not only do hemp beanies wick away your smelly sweat and still keep your head delightfully cool, but they also look marvellous doing it! Hemp beanies are also a natural SPF50 for UV protection! No more sunburned head or sun damaged hair. Cooling and cool. Deodorizing, too.
