You really shouldn’t be cooking with hemp oil. When hemp oil gets hot, it smokes, changes taste and depletes its self of nutritional value.
When you are buying your hemp oil, make sure it is cold processed and unrefined—basically saying that it hasn’t been messed with and still has the max nutrients!
Again no cooking, but you can add your oil to anything!
The following are the most popular though –
Salad dressings
Smoothies
Hummus
Protein shakes
Dips
Sandwich spreads
Sauces
Cold soups
Pesto

This hemp salad dressing is my new favorite for lunches.
You will need:
1/2 cup hemp hearts (hulled hemp seeds)
1/3 cup water, plus more as needed
One medium lemon, juiced
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp salt
a few strands chives, broken into 1-inch pieces
a few sprig leaves fresh dill
a few sprig tops fresh cilantro and/or parsley
In a food processor, combine everything but the herbs.
Blend until smooth.
*Add more hemp hearts if too thin, add more water if too thick
Add herbs and blend until incorporated.
Chill before serving.
Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

You can use it in too many ways such as a salad dressing, on roast potatoes, on roast vegetables, in soup, on stir fry, quinoa bowl, hemp pesto, etc., so I choose to describe one of them, in the soup I mean, The butternut squash, rosemary, and hemp oil give it all the flavor. In contrast, the unsweetened hemp milk delivers it a creamy, rich taste (without the cream, of course), search other recipes on the net!

I use hemp oil anywhere I used to use olive oil. Salad dressings mostly. Add balsamic vinegar and lemon, or lime and salt and pepper. I usually add a tiny bit of mustard or mayo to make it, so the oil and vinegar don’t separate.

I learned the hard way about not cooking regularly with hemp oil. Fairly recently, I’m ashamed to admit. It had a funky taste, and I thought it was just maybe a little old. Just shouldn’t be heated above lukewarm. That said, one of my favorite recipes right now using hemp oil is chickpea salad sandwiches!
Smash your canned chickpeas with either a fork or blend them in a food processor. Drizzle hemp oil, add garlic, chopped celery, chopped onion, chopped boiled egg, pickle relish, and dill weed. Add a few drops of lime essential oil if you like. Mix, then spread on toast and top with pickle, lettuce, onion, and tomato. It sounds kind of weird, but it has the lightest and wholesome flavor and is just the perfect amount of filling. So tasty.
