Hemp can survive in most environments except in a desert where there is extreme climate. The best growing conditions for hemp are areas with warm weather and soil rich in organic material. Hemp could not probably last in a desert. However, if there are proper cultivation and resources to irrigate, then it might be possible.

So, hemp is best suited to grow in a humid environment within a mild climate–somewhere with around 20-30 inches of precipitation annually. Soil moisture is essential for germination and support until the young plants are developing well. On its own, hemp probably would not thrive in a desert location, but if you are cultivating it and have the tools and resources to properly irrigate, then it’s entirely possible.
