Yes, but you need to gently heat it to make sure the ‘goodness’ isn’t burned off in the process. The best way to lightly heat hemp oil is by candle-light.

Like any other massage oil, you can warm it beforehand for extra soothing effects. I would be cautious not to overheat it to prevent burning. Hemp oil is also sensitive to heat. The hotter it gets, the less potent it becomes. A beautiful, slightly warm is perfect for hemp oil.

It’s best not to heat the hemp massage oil. This is because hemp oil could break down quickly, unlike other regular massage oils. So, heating could completely change its qualities and destroy all the nutrients. But if you want it to be warm, you can heat the hemp massage oil at a mild temperature. Be very gentle with it. After all, you don’t want to lose all the nutrients. It’s full of omega fatty acids, proteins, and fibers, which is one of the main reasons for its popularity as a massage oil.

You can heat your hemp massage oil before you rub it on your body. However, it would be best if you only heated to a lukewarm temperature to keep the benefits of the oil intact. When heated to high-temperature hemp, massage oil will not only smoke, but all the nutrients will be burned off.

Hemp oil has tremendous potentials to heal the body and also internal organs. Hemp oil for a massage could be the best resolution for body aches or restoration of your muscles if you exercise, though, so work it out! Warm it up and let it infiltrate your muscles and spirit!

As stated prior, yes, you can. In a prior post about cooking with hemp oil (same idea haha), you can let the hemp oil get too hot, or it will burn off all the good nutrients and things you want to keep from the oil.

Oils used for massage can be warmed up but avoid overheating the oil as it might too hot when you rub it into your body. Hemp massage oil can also be warmed up in just medium heat, for it might lose the hemp nutrients in the oil if it’s warmed up above medium heat.

Yes, you can heat your hemp massage oil before you rub it into your body. Ensure that you do not overheat your hemp oil, which will cause it to smoke and also make it uncomfortably hot to apply.

As Melody said, it HAS to be lukewarm.

You will lose precious hemp nutrients by heating it above medium heat.

Consequently, this makes hemp oil not as effective as a cooking oil as opposed to something like olive oil or coconut oil.

It depends on what the carrier oil is, and if it’s hemp seed oil, or CBD! Hemp seed oil has a low smoke-point, like Melody said. One way to work around this, if you’re making your own oil, is to heat the carrier or base separately (we like to use a mint and lavender-infused coconut oil, then add drops of CBD as you go!

Of course! Just make sure to not make it too hot so that it doesn’t burn your body. It can also start to smell odd if heated too high.

Yes, only until it is lukewarm. Hemp seed oil can’t be used for cooking because of the low smoke point. It breaks down even at moderate temps, losing all the nutritional benefits and tasting weird. But it’s okay to warm it up, so it’s comfortable for a massage.
