It could, but the issue is finding it growing truly “wild”… Since the early ’80s, the DEA has spent BILLIONS (yeah, that’s a *b*) of your tax dollars to eradicate feral hemp… which is the now-wild-growing hemp that’s descended from the industrial plants that our grandparents and great grandparents cultivate for none other than Uncle Sam himself. Supposing you could locate hemp growing in the wild (that’s not just someone’s well-camouflaged marijuana grow operation haha), aside from a few decades’s/generations of wild growth, there isn’t much difference between our industrial hemp today and what you’d find.
