I love candle making. I haven’t used hemp wicks, but I have read that they last a fair while longer than regular wicks.
I use soy wax, and I am looking for a natural alternative to regular wicks. It is hard to know these days what regular candle making wicks are made from and what chemicals they may contain, so I plan on giving hemp wicks a try.

The hemp wick is just an alternative strategy for retaining a flame. It is like the white augmentation originating from a candle, a combustible bit of string that can ignite with durable control. Hemp wick is produced using hemp fibers and is regularly covered with beeswax to make a natural, waxy covering that keeps a fire unblemished for extensive periods. Hemp wick is typically folded all-around a lighter for a smooth lighting experience.

Yes! And they burn a lot longer than other types of wicks.

You can! A lot of candle makers actually prefer them as they burn slower than other types of wicks.

Wow, I didn’t actually realize it was so common. Do you have any examples of candle makers/companies that use hemp wicks?

Yes, of course. I would say that is the best use for it since you sometimes need a longer reach than a match provides. Hemp wick is perfect for such occasions and the coating of beewax it has allows for a longer burn.
