It is effortless to make a hemp wick lighter. All you need is a regular butane lighter and a roll of hemp cord that has been coated in beeswax. You wrap the hemp around your lighter and secure it with hot glue at the base. Leave a beautiful sized tail at the top so you will have enough material to light.
      Quick and easy!

Here is how to make a hemp wick lighter. Take a length of hemp twine and coat it in beeswax. Take the coated hemp twine and wrap it around your lighter, the wax will keep it in place. You can now use the hemp twine as a wick by lighting the end. Hemp wick will not affect the flavor of the substance being smoked. This is why it is so popular.

Shawl hemp wick nearby your lighter: Get a stand and set it near the center of your lighter and wrap almost you reach the top. The 100% actual beeswax will hold it in place and permit you to place the end into the flame when igniting.

You can wrap hemp wick (with beeswax coating) around your Bic lighter. Just start at the bottom and keep wrapping until you get to the top. The wax sticks to itself, so it stays put. Then the wick is handy, so you can just stick the end into the flame when you fire up the lighter.

I think the only way to make it lighter would be not to apply the beeswax coating that hemp wick usually has. If you make the hemp yourself, you may be able to make it brighter by thinning out the strands than regular hemp wick.
