(Continuing from my other answer) after apply and pay for the permits, you will need a background check. You will need to pass that before you can start. You need to me ten months free of any weed charges (misnomer or felony’s).
Then buy the seed plant and watch it grow!

1: Prepare the space and determine proper spacing.
2: Obtain seeds or clones.
3: Plant (using fertilize and water as you do so)
Following that, you need to ensure the plants are receiving enough water and removing any weeds that may be competing for nutrients. Most farmers each have their methods. If you are familiar with the process involved with growing tobacco, hemp is very similar.
At harvest:
1: Cut plants
2: Hang to dry
3: When dry, prepare according to the intended use (i.e., removing buds if they will be sold as smoking material, et cetera.)

First off, you must obtain a license to grow hemp in your state. While it is a relatively easy plant to grow compared to some others, it can still be challenging, like any farming. Testing of THC content, seed obtainment, and water consumption are just some of the problems that can be associated with growing hemp. As to how to grow it, starting in the ground rather than a pot is best, they require a fair amount of watering daily, and cannot sustain near-freezing temperatures for too long.
