Does anyone know of any hemp beer I can get at Bevmo or something? I would love to try it!

New Belgium Brewing does a pretty nice hemp beer they call an HPA. It’s called the Hemperor. Not bad. It’s good if you like more earthy IPAs.

It is possible to make beer using hemp seeds. Hemp beer (or “hanfbier,” as the Germans call it) is a form of beer infused with elements of the cannabis plant. This type of beer is not brewed from hemp directly, but instead, hemp products (such as seeds) are later added as a flavoring component.
You first have to consider what hemp product you’re going to use for your beer. Some use the whole seed, which can add a great nutty flavor and even some coffee flavors if the seed is over-roasted before being added. Some use the hulled seed, which provides a lovely soft flavor. Others like to preserve the head of their beer, so they use the hemp flour, which is a byproduct of pressing the seed for oil. This seems to be the favored product to use and seems to make the best beer.

Have you ever tried it? Is it any good?

This is the same process of brewing any other beer, but you will add in one step to add the hemp seeds. You must first start the process of decarboxylation of the hemp by heating it at low heat for about an hour. After that, you then add the seeds in with the hops that you are brewing with. I have heard that not many people have tried to malt the seeds, which could turn out interesting and flavorful if willing to do that.
