Hempcrete is ground hemp stalks, Lyme, and water. When all three are mixed and set to dry, it makes a product that is as hard as a stone and stronger than steel. Hempcrete is better than traditional stone or steal because it is fire-resistant, mold-resistant, a better insulator than fiberglass and foam, and is biodegradable. It also does not release chemicals over time or in the production process that is harmful to the environment.

The best recipe for making hemp Crete is to take four parts hemp hurd, one part lime base binder, and one part water. First, mix the water and hemp Hurd, then add the lime-based primer and mix for about 10 minutes. Then cast the hempcrete mixture and allow it to dry. Hempcrete is ideal in building as it is breathable and has temperature regulating properties.

The three materials are hemp burd, lime, and water. Use four parts hemp hurd with one part lime binder and then comes one part water. When added together, they create a fantastic durable material, easy to make in almost any shape, the concluded content is somehow like a pressboard, but far more robust than it feels, so get to it! Mix the hempcrete converted to form, tamp it down and let it set into a seldom block.

If you want to make homemade hempcrete, you just need four parts hemp hurd, 1 part lime as a binder, and 1 part water. Fill your form with the hempcrete, tamp it down well and wait for it to set.
