I’ve used three different hemp shampoos by different brands, and I can say that I never noticed any particular smell at all.

Every product will have a smell to it. Natural products like hemp do have a scent, but it does not have the “skunk weed” smell. Hemp has an earthy aroma to it as a natural soap would. You are smelling the plant-based products that make up the shampoo. It is up to you if hemp shampoo smells terrible. I would rather have a product that smells like what it is made out of instead of chemically or over-saturated artificial fragrances. See if you can get the shampoo in a travel size to test it out before committing to a 20 to 33 oz bottle.

Hemp plants are known to give out a strong smell, much similar to marijuana. But many shampoo products that use hemp oil and other extracts use various ingredients to add a nice fragrance, so you don’t need to pinch your nose in the shower. Having said that, it all depends on the product ingredients. Also, keep in mind that some people are much more sensitive to fragrances than others. So, you will find one person talking about the fantastic aroma of a shampoo product and another one complaining about it.

SO you heard hemp shampoos give off a particular smell. If you are asking if hemp shampoo smells like marijuana, the answer is no. Hemp shampoo is known to have no scent at all, only the one that is infused during its production. Feel free to use hemp shampoo’s, and they are great for healthy hair growth.

There are some rumors about the unpleasant smell of it, but you know everything has a scent! So the essence of this element has the distinct odor that some people may be allergic or don’t like it, but I think it worth tolerating the scent and using thousands of profits for this pure material.

Well, it DOES NOT smell like weed. Hahaha, if that’s what you were worried about! I’ve used it twice (two different brands). One has no order or smell at all. Just plain soap with zero sent. The other had a scent that I can only describe as a clean scent. You just felt and smelt clean after the shower. Pretty cool stuff!

Yes, hemp shampoos do give off a particular smell: a wonderful one! Hemp shampoos and conditioners do not smell like weed or marijuana. Natural hemp shampoos are made without any added scents, but you can also buy hemp shampoos with added fragrance. It’s really a matter of personal preference.

No. Hemp shampoo does not give off any particular smell because it has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits. It smells subtle, clean, and fresh. It is now popular on a natural beauty world that helps a lot of mainstream hair problems. It promotes hair growth, prevents hair breakage, and moisturizes the scalp.

No it does NOT smell like cannabis!
Most shampoos are coupled with (ideally natural) fragrances that make it a refreshing and pleasurable experience.

It all depends on what else is in the shampoo and the manufacturer! I’ve smelled some that have essentially no smell, some that just have the “clean” smell, and some that are scented with patchouli and sandalwood and have that quintessential hippie smell. Herbal Essences has a really nice one if you’re looking for one with a “normal shampoo” smell!

Actually, it is quite neutral smelling. While I have not used hemp shampoo, I have tried hemp body wash, with added peppermint. I did not notice any sort of hemp smell and it does not leave any kind of residue like other shampoos and body washes occasionally do.

So, the question really is… does hemp shampoo smell like pot? NO! Hemp shampoo smells extremely fresh, clean, and subtle. Perfectly suitable for both men and women. Nothing “girly” or musty smell here! And since hemp shampoo is really good at making sure you have no residue left in your hair, people who work (or play) around smelly stuff like how it takes the odors away.
