There was pushback from authorities stating that they would have a hard time enforcing the marijuana laws if their hemp bill was passed.

Idaho is one of the states where hemp farming is illegal despite the 2018 Farm Bill, where the federal government makes it legal. However, growing of hemp is one step closer to becoming legal as of February 2020. Senate Bill 1345 would allow Idaho growers for hemp production and sell as long as it contains less than 0.3% THC.

Idaho basically follows the federal farm bill law. Hemp with just 0.3 % THC or less is legal both under the federal guidelines and in Idaho. Hemp with any THC in it is illegal in Idaho, but the hemp with super low levels of THC is legal in Idaho, as it is in the whole country.
