The Tennessee Department of Agriculture must permit hemp farmers, and the Hemp, is closely related to marijuana but has no psychoactive outcome, has been granted to grow in Tennessee for about five years within a firmly controlled government guide program in 2019.

Hemp and CDB derived hemp is legal in Tennessee. Tennessee is one of the top state producers in the country. The hemp market is growing rapidly in the state. To grow hemp, an industrial hemp grower license is required per person for each address where he/she cultivates industrial hemp.

Stated in previous answers, you will need to obtain the necessary license and pay fees each year, depending on how much you are growing. The state’s website should outline it nicely and allow completion of the license form online. Like any business endeavor, you will want to have a business plan in place and identify any hurdles you may need to overcome, so you start on the right path.

Just like in the rest of the country, hemp farmers in Tennessee need a license from the state Dept of Agriculture. The Tennessee Department of Agriculture sets a deadline for applications to grow hemp in the state for mid-Feb. Hemp has been legal in Tennessee for over five years, but the state government hemp pilot program very closely monitors the farmers.

Yes, it is legal since the 2018 farm bill passed; it made it legal for all 50 states.
Though, every state will have its own regulations surrounding its own hemp program.
You have to fill out an application, and the fees could cost as much as $350+ depending on the acreage that you plan to grow.

That sounds pretty cheap, honestly! Last season Kentucky charged $500 per location! So you’re looking at $1,000 if you have a small plot that you cure elsewhere!
