According to a 2020 article, the Wyoming legislature finally approved a bill where producers can now apply licenses for growing hemp. This includes products made from hemp, such as CBD oil, which is also legal now. However, even farmers already got a license to grow hemp; it is still required for the crops to be tested below 0.3% THC (done within 15 days of harvest), or else, they could lose their license.

Yes! The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 (commonly referred to as the Farm Bill) was passed and the provisions therein went into effect at the end of 2018. This Act removed hemp from the Schedule 1 list of controlled substances and reinstated its presence as a regular agriculture commodity, along with products made from it. To the best of my knowledge, the specific procedures for gaining permissions to grow, though, vary based on, and are dependent upon, each individual state.

Yes, as far as I know, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved Wyoming’s Hemp regulatory plan since last February. Thus all the producers and farmers in Wyoming are now allowed to apply for licenses to cultivate the hemp crop. As a result, one more agricultural option is provided for farmers and growers in Wyoming; naturally, Hemp’s side products present more opportunities for processors in this industry too.

Yippeee! Yep, in Feb 2020, GF Harvest in Powell, Wyoming finally got the very first license for growing and processing hemp in Wyoming. The USDA has now approved the hemp regulatory plan in Wyoming, so producers can finally apply for licenses to grow hemp crops.
