You take the hemp fibers that are made from the hemp stalks – where cotton is made from the cotton flower. You spin those fibers into the string and weave into the bedding. Hemp bedding is better than cotton because it is more durable and more breathable. It needs to be taken care of the same as cotton because it will stain very easily and hold that stain. This is because of how absorbent hemp is. Which is great, but has the downside of it will hold everything it comes in contact with. If that happens, spot clean with mild soap and baking soda, wash in cold water and hang to dry. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp MarcLouis 0 Questions 187 Answers 0 Best Answers 376 Points View Profile MarcLouis 2020-08-05T19:23:22-04:00Added an answer on August 5, 2020 at 7:23 pm The “hurd” of the cannabis plant is what is used to make hemp bedding. The hurd of the cannabis plant is the stalk that is then mulched down to make bedding for animals. The mulched down hurd is made into a straw-like texture, which is soft to the touch and 100% natural. This hemp bedding is exceptionally absorbent and is also a deterrent to rodents, and mold and mildew resistant. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Jade 0 Questions 69 Answers 0 Best Answers 139 Points View Profile Jade 2020-07-26T19:35:33-04:00Added an answer on July 26, 2020 at 7:35 pm The leftover stalks of hemp plants are made into animal bedding. It is softer and more comfortable than pine or straw bedding, and its four times as absorbent! 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerCancel replyYou must login to add an answer.
