Hemp bedding is a five cubic feet bale made of “hurd” of the cannabis plant or its chopped. It is a highly absorbent material for animal bedding, which is naturally soft. It is low dust and breaks down quickly in a compost bin. Hemp bedding is suited for those who are sensitive to allergens and a perfect alternative for animal bedding.

As Amanda stated, it is made from the mulching of the stalks and is excellent for livestock. The mulching of hemp is also used for other products since it can be mulched very finely and used for clothing and other products.

You can essentially prepare the stalk of the hemp plant to produce animal bedding known as “hurd”. This is a useful, mulchy, straw-like material that’s soft for animals, absorbent of odor and moisture, and even pest repellent!

It’s used as bedding for animals and is ground down and you can put it in a sack or on the ground for animals to lay down on.

As Amanda stated, it is the mulched stalk of the hemp plant. It has many uses other than livestock as it can also be pressed into different shapes and used as a biodegradable source of plastic.

It’s the mulched hemp hurd (stalks). It’s very low-dust and high-absorbency, which make it a very efficient choice of bedding for livestock.
