If it’s a high-quality product with a high-quality extraction method used, then that should add to its shelf life. As with most extracts, oils, and volatile liquids, you’ll want to keep it in one of those amber or dark blue bottles to protect against light oxidation. Light oxidation is one of the worst destroyers of potency. The next worse is actual air exposure. Every time you open your bottle to ingest some CBD, you exchange a little bit of air. It’s not enough loss that you should worry about it. What you should avoid is leaving the bottle open for a prolonged period. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Moogdummy 0 Questions 246 Answers 0 Best Answers 521 Points View Profile Moogdummy 2020-05-18T11:37:35-04:00Added an answer on May 18, 2020 at 11:37 am I think CBD oil would last longer than just six months if properly stored. Make sure it’s in one of those blue-tinted bottles and keep it in the dark place like a cabinet. One of the worst destroyers of potency is light oxidation. The second worst destroyer is exposure to the air. Every time you open your bottle, you invite the healthy air to enter and exchange, which in turn causes oxidation. It’s not a severe amount, and it can’t be helped because you have to open the bottle to ingest it anyway. Though, it is not recommended to leave the container open for a prolonged period if you plan to preserve potency. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp azure619 0 Questions 31 Answers 0 Best Answers 86 Points View Profile azure619 2020-05-18T11:37:24-04:00Added an answer on May 18, 2020 at 11:37 am Around 12-24 months is a recommended shelf life. if it’s older then that it could lose potency. To help keep it longer i would store it in a fridge or out of the sun in an airtight container 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Seymour Simone 0 Questions 96 Answers 0 Best Answers 202 Points View Profile Seymour Simone 2020-05-19T12:22:21-04:00Added an answer on May 19, 2020 at 12:22 pm If you adhere to proper storage methods, it should be about 1-2 years. Although, after opening, it is closer to 6-12 months. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp CrayM 0 Questions 311 Answers 0 Best Answers 655 Points View Profile CrayM 2020-05-03T13:47:54-04:00Added an answer on May 3, 2020 at 1:47 pm When stored properly, the shelf of CBD oil can be up to 2 years. If kept in the darkroom at room temp., it may last even longer. Once opened, CBD oil will last about six months. Properly storing it can be done with any pairing jar used for jam or any other airtight container. I bought, CBD oil will come in a box like so. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerCancel replyYou must login to add an answer.
