Hemp harvesting season is in October. Hemp is ready to be harvested at 16weeks, the flowers are ripe, and the seeds are full. By October, most of the leaves have fallen and can be used for compost or materials that use only the leaves. The flowers are sensitive and are mostly harvested by hand. The stalks can be harvested by a machine that can cut and bundle it quickly.

It all depends on which part of the world hemp is cultivated. But usually, hemp growers will plan to harvest right before the fall frost sets in, which is mostly around the early parts of October. Deciding the right time could be quite tricky for a first-time grower. This is because the seeds tend to mature and open at different times, even on the same hemp plant. So, you’ll need to decide when most of the seeds will be ready to harvest to make the best out of it. But more experienced growers can quickly determine this.

SOOOO many variables here, while I know that most people have said October; I also know that harvest time is different for growers across the globe, and many moving parts impact when the optimal time to harvest will be.

It could be as early as 14 weeks after they’re planted, but it may also stretch to 18 weeks. Essentially, it is whenever you have the highest number of seeds, and when the flowers are at their ripest. The end-use of the hemp would also impact when the best time to harvest will be as well.

October is the best month to harvest hemp. The hemp plant is ready to harvest at around 16 weeks or when the flowers are ripe and full of seeds. There are some telltale signs that the hemp is ready to harvest, the trichomes on the hemp bud will change from white to a milkier white. You can also test the CBD content to figure out when harvesting should be done.

Hemp is usually harvested in the month of October. Hemp is harvested in October because that is the time at which the most minimal loss of seed will occur. In October, hemp plants are usually roughly 16 weeks old, the flowers are ripe, and the plant has plenty of seeds.

Everything goes according to plan, you should be able to do this in early October. But there are a lot of other factors that can change this timeline. Rule of thumb is when the seed is ripe, and the leaves start falling. It is time to harvest. When the hemp plant looks “full,” and the seeds get big to pick its time to harvest!

Typically, hemp is harvested during the early month of October. It is good to harvest hemp when flowers are ripe and started to fall. Normally, it happens after four months or sixteen weeks after planting. It also depends on how you grow the plant, cares for it, and the variety of things you did to grow it well.

Early October! Usually, you would want to harvest when you have the highest number of seeds. That is to say when flowers are ripe and full of seeds, and that comes within a hundred days from your seeding. If you have focused on growing hemp fibers, you might want to harvest as soon as the last pollen fell.

Typically around October…but it all really depends on a variety of things–pest predation and drought can force your hand and make you need to harvest early to prevent further loss.

Hemp is typically ready for harvest when the seeds have become exposed and are about to fall.
This is usually about 16 weeks after planting.

So, normally, it is around the month of October that hemp is harvested and processed.

Hemp harvesting usually happens early in October. Plants are about 4 months old, and the flowers ripen with seeds. Most of the leaves fall off as compost for next year’s crop.
