Why hemp paper is better?

Hemp paper is made from hemp plants. It is thin, brittle and rough but very tough. The quality of hemp paper and pulp is higher than paper and pulp made of wood. Hemp paper takes four months to grow while trees can take several years. Hemp has lower lignin content and is more durable. Hemp also has a higher concentration of cellulose than wood; thus, no need for toxic chemicals to process it. The broader use of hemp paper can help reduce deforestation.
