Hemp is indeed an excellent alternative to cotton because of its advantages. Cotton requires a ton of pesticides and uses much more water to grow. Hemp enriches the soil where it grows while cotton does not. Hemp fabrics are also more robust, more durable, and absorbent than cotton. This makes the fiber to retain its color better than cotton or any other material.

After reading more about cotton vs hemp, I might still prefer cotton, it just has that softness to it. Unless they have or came up with hemp cotton blend fabric to give it that comfortable feeling.

Clothes produced using hemp fibers are as comfortable and soft as clothes made up of cotton fibers. You can see that cotton clothes get softer with every wash, which gives you a lovely feeling wearing them, but this is because cotton fibers break and lost their durability every time you wash them. Hemp fibers, on the other hand, are as soft and comfortable as cotton but are more durable and robust compared to cotton because the process of breaking and getting ragged with washing or wearing happens at a slower rate. That’s the reason hemp clothes show more durability than those of cotton.

I wouldn’t necessarily say, better. It is “better” in some ways since it is more absorbent and durable when compared to cotton. But, cotton is much softer and a more comfortable material to wear since it can stretch more and isn’t as rough as hemp material.
